Hierarchical Structure of the Church of Ambazonia (CoA)

The Church of Ambazonia (CoA) serves as an umbrella church for all Christian denominations and congregations within Ambazonia. It provides a unifying structure and spiritual leadership for the diverse churches operating in the region, while respecting their individual traditions and practices.

1. Founder and Leader (Dr. Florentin Fonche)
- Role: The supreme spiritual head and visionary founder of the Church of Ambazonia. As both the Founder and Leader of the CoA and President of the Republic of Ambazonia, Dr. Fonche embodies the covenant between faith and nationhood.
- Responsibilities:
- Providing overarching spiritual, moral, and prophetic leadership to guide both Church and nation.
- Representing the CoA internationally and serving as the chief symbol of unity among all Ambazonian Christians.
- Appointing or confirming the Patriarch/Archbishop and presiding over key ecclesiastical and national ceremonies.
- Ensuring the Church remains faithful to biblical truth and the mission of liberation, peace, and righteousness.
2. Patriarch / Archbishop (Primate of the Church of Ambazonia)
- Role: The highest ecclesiastical authority under the Founder, functioning as the chief shepherd and spiritual overseer of all dioceses and denominations within Ambazonia.
In biblical analogy, this office corresponds to the apostolic oversight seen in the early Church (cf. Acts 15). - Responsibilities:
- Providing doctrinal guidance and ensuring theological consistency across the Church.
- Ordaining Bishops and approving appointments of senior clergy.
- Representing the CoA in national and global ecumenical and interfaith settings.
- Promoting peace, unity, and reconciliation among the faithful.
3. Bishops (Diocesan or Regional Overseers)
- Role: Oversee dioceses or provinces of the Church, serving as spiritual fathers and administrators. Each Bishop shepherds the clergy and faithful within their region.
- Responsibilities:
- Administering dioceses, ordaining priests and deacons.
- Guiding doctrinal purity and pastoral discipline.
